On September 1, 2005 held at Julu Tower, Shanghai Information and Development Committee presented an award ceremony given by National Planning Bureau to CAC Shanghai as one of 2004 National “Key Software Enterprises”. Mr. Bin Cheng accepted the award in behalf of CAC Shanghai Corporation.
CMM Level 3
CAC Shanghai has undergone an assessment against the Capability Maturity Model for Software (SW-CMM) and has been rated by the European Software Institute at CMM Level 3. This achievement demonstrates the company's ongoing dedication to improving quality, which also provides an "industry-approved" vehicle through which CAC Shanghai can pass this knowledge and its benefits to customers by sharing methodologies, expertise and technology.
Staff Training Program
CAC Shanghai has enhanced its staff development program by providing a 1-year hands-on training to its employees at CAC headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The program hopes to hone its technical team to offshore projects and work onsite with the customers. In return, CAC would be able to ensure proper knowledge transfer from parent company to its subsidiaries. CAC Shanghai is also preparing to implement the same program – to send some of its staff to CAC America in New York, USA.
CAC Annual Report 2003
In 2003, the CAC Group achieved record sales, increasing by 29.6% year on year to US$452 Million. Driving sales sharply higher in 2003 were new orders from the pharmaceuticals and food sectors, key areas of expertise, and larger sales contributions from consolidated subsidiaries. These increases were partly offset by a weak showing in the financial services sector, and the loss of opportunities to win orders due to several unprofitable project proposals.
